Meet A Coworker – Emilia

Emilia has been working at Lifts All since May 2022. With experience as a self-employed entrepreneur and a keen interest in people, she combines both heart and mind in her work, ensuring that everything from salaries to labor law is in order and complied with. In this interview, we get to know Emilia a little better and learn something that few people know about her!

How long have you worked at Lifts All and what are your previous experiences?

I started at Lifts All in May 2022, initially as a coordinator. I have now been here for just over 3.5 years. Before that, I worked as a hairdresser and ran my own salon.

What is most challenging about your work?

When I started, Lifts All was a small company, so the transition from the way we worked back then to how we work today, now that the business is bigger, has been challenging. At the same time, it has been really fun and rewarding to be involved in building up the company along the way, so that balances things out.

How did you end up at Lifts All?

I decided to close the salon and look for something else. Since I had previously run my own business and been responsible for my own employees, I already had experience in HR, albeit in a completely different industry. I applied to Lifts All as it sounded like a cozy workplace with wonderful people, and not least cute dogs.

What is one of your best memories from your time here at Lifts All?

Oh, it's hard to choose just one, but I think I'll have to say my first day at work. I got to go around and say hello to everyone, and they were all so nice and welcoming that I immediately felt like part of the group.

What tasks are included in your role as an HR specialist?

I handle the entire payroll process from start to finish, report to authorities, act as a support function for employees and managers, and monitor and review changes in labor law, such as LAS and collective agreements.

Tell us something that not many people know about you.

In addition to my regular job, I run two businesses: one as an artist and one in e-commerce. In the e-commerce, I work both as a distributor for various hair care products and with my own brand of hair extensions.

What do you enjoy the most about your work?

I enjoy working both operationally and strategically, using both my heart and my mind.
