At kitchen manufacturer Nobia, staff make smart lifts with the Basic multi-gripper. The same tool can be used to lift both pallets and boards.
Lifting kitchens with vacuum grippers
Nobia is one of Europe's leading kitchen manufacturers. Every week, the company delivers 10,000 kitchens produced in seven countries. At the factory in Tidaholm, around 600 employees work to manufacture Marbodal kitchens. Manually lifting kitchen parts in the production line is a heavy job. Large boards and pallets are moved around the premises, where the kitchens are colored and packaged.
Nobia lifts with Lifts All's Basic grippers, among others; compressed air-driven vacuum grippers that make it significantly easier to lift pallets and boards. Basic is a lifting tool with interchangeable vacuum cups and hooks. This means that you can use the same lifting tool to lift both cartons, boards or pallets.
"What I like about Lifts All, apart from the functionality itself, is: firstly, the simplicity of being able to easily change the lifting tool to find the most optimal one for each purpose, whether it's one suction cup, two or four." Says Erik Dollerup, Production Engineer at Nobia, referring to the versatility of Basic. "And secondly, how easy it is to move the lifting aid afterwards," he continues.
Adapting lifting tools to customers' conditions is a common task for Lifts All.
Lifting ergonomically in the workflow
Changing work methods can be challenging for many companies, but one of the keys to getting lifting tools used is that they make the operator's life easier. Lifts All's tools make the load virtually weightless.
"On the whole, many operators are very satisfied with the different lifting aids we have." says Erik.
After the first vacuum grippers became part of the workflow at Nobia, the company decided to invest in more, thus continuing to promote the ergonomics and well-being of its employees.
