“Lifting tools for every purpose”

Staff at the kitchen manufacturer Nobia lift smart with the multi-gripper Basic. With a single lifting tool, they lift both pallets and sheets.

Lifting kitchens with vacuum grippers

Nobia is one of Europe´s leading kitchen manufacturers. Every week, the company produces and delivers 10,000 kitchens, which are produced in seven different countries. In their factory in Tidaholm, Sweden, 600 employees work with manufacturing the Marbodal kitchen series. Lifting and moving kitchen parts in the production line is a heavy job. Large sheets and pallets need to be moved about in the facility where the kitchens are painted and packaged.

Nobia lifts with the Basic lifting tool from Lifts All; a vacuum gripper that runs on compressed air that makes it significantly easier to lift both pallets and sheets. The Basic works with a variety of interchangeable vacuum suction cups and hooks. This means that it can be used to lift anything from carton boxes and sheets, to pallets and cupboards.

“What I like about Lifts All, besides the functionality, is partly the simplicity – to be able to shift the gripper according to each purpose, if it so means one, two or four suction cups,” says Erik Dollerup, Production Technician at Nobia, alluding to the Basic’s versatility. “Partly, how easy it is to move the lifting tool afterwards,” he continues.

Adapting lifting tools according to customers’ requirements is a common task for Lifts All.

Ergonomic lifting in workflow

Altering working procedures can be challenging for many companies, but a key factor to initiate this change and utilize lifting tools is that they improve the everyday life of the operator. Lifts All´s lifting tools make loads essentially weightless.

“On the whole, many operators are very happy with the different lifting tools we have,” says Erik.

After the first vacuum grippers were integrated into the workflow at Nobia, the company decided to invest in more. In doing so, the company continues to improve the health and ergonomic situation of their employees.
