Marcus has been in charge of Lifts All’s inventory since May 2023. With a background in warehousing and logistics and a strong sense of organization, he ensures accurate inventory levels, smooth customs handling – and that nothing slips through the cracks. In this interview, Marcus shares his journey to the role, why he enjoys working at the office, and how he prefers to spend his free time.

How long have you worked at Lifts All and what are your previous experiences?

I started at Lifts All in May 2023, so it’s been just over 2 years now. Before that, I mainly worked with warehouse and logistics, but I also have some experience as an assembler.

Freight and logistics is a fairly new department. How long has it existed?

It began to take shape when I started here. Before that, the inventory was managed by 5–6 different people alongside their regular duties, so there was a need for someone to fully focus on it.

What are your main responsibilities?

Incoming and outgoing shipments, trade show bookings, customs handling, price estimation for the sales department, and general inventory management.

What is the most important quality for succeeding as an Inventory Manager?

You need to be meticulous; otherwise, you risk creating disorder in the inventory and sending off products to the wrong addresses.

What do you enjoy the most about your job?

The variety. Since my role is broad, I get to do a little bit of everything.

How do you like working at Lifts All?

I think it’s nice. I generally prefer smaller, more familiar companies, such as Lifts All. I also think it’s wonderful that we have so many office dogs. It’s hard not to smile when you see them around!

What do you like to do in your free time?

Climbing! I’ve been at it since 2014, both indoors and outdoors. I also work out quite a bit. Besides that, I enjoy watching crime dramas and comedies, or playing games like War Thunder and Path of Exile.
