Olov Nyquist worked at Lifts All for 12 years after completing his education and developed, among other things, our popular lifting tool Basic. After spending a few years at other workplaces, he is now back at Lifts All for the second time with new energy and experiences. In this interview, you will learn more about what Olov has brought with him from his previous jobs and what he will focus on most in the future.

How does it feel to be back?

It feels very exciting to be back. A lot has happened in recent years, including changes in how construction and sales work, our presence on social media, and of course, the growth of the company. It’s great to see.

What have you been doing during your time away from Lifts All?

I have worked as a technical consultant and had the opportunity to work with a variety of companies and industries. I’ve worked with everything from mobile phone antennas to gym equipment and medical equipment. It has been very varied and educational.

What is your educational background?

I studied innovation technology with a focus on product development.

You were involved in developing one of our best-selling lifting tools, Basic. What was the ambition with that?

The ambition was to create a complement to our customized lifting tools, a multi-tool that would suit many different types of customers. We wanted to offer a slightly cheaper option with good features, where you can easily replace the applications to use the tool for different kinds of loads.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I love the sea and spend a lot of time on my boat, which requires quite a bit of attention. I enjoy working on personal projects at home; for example, I have built my own cargo bike. I am also into e-foiling.

What knowledge are you bringing with you this time, and will you work differently than before at Lifts All?

I feel that I have much more knowledge about production methods now. I want to innovate our working methods and focus more on design, as well as better understanding the end user. I also think more about price and function. Through my years as a product developer and technical consultant, I have gathered many ideas that I look forward to bringing to life.

What will your main focus be at Lifts All moving forward?

I will focus on reviewing the development and production process from a strategic perspective. I also want to spend more time planning long-term strategies and working on where we want to be in 5-10 years. In today’s fast-paced development, we constantly need to think ahead.
