Material handling solution

Josefin works as a chemist at Ragn-Sells Högbytorp, where one of her tasks is to handle incoming waste. Often, large quantities of waste material arrive in plastic containers. These plastic containers come in different designs and weights, and can contain as much as 20-30 liters of liquid. These weigh close to 40 kg each.

“Before we received the lifting tool, we the staff often lifted the containers manually. If that wasn´t possible, we would have to use a forklift and straps to secure the containers, then drive them away. We also had a crane system, but it was too bothersome, so we often avoided using it. Sometimes, we needed several people to help lift the heaviest containers. Someone strapped the container and someone drove the truck,” Josefin says.

“I was temporarily injured, my shoulder and back started to ache. It turned out to be because of the heavy containers I was lifting. In conjunction with that, we spotted Lifts All and said, ‘This could be the perfect solution for our material handling’.”

One person can manage the job that previously needed two

Today, Josefin lifts with the Basic, a lifting tool from Lifts All. The lifting tool is equipped with a simple hook and runs on compressed air, which means that the load is exceptionally easy to lift and move.

“Today I can do the whole lift on my own. The lifting tool is smooth, easy to work with and flexible. I can work by myself, and it is quick. The gripper is simple to use. I use it often, for example, yesterday I lifted a hundred containers. I often gather several containers and make a collected move, and lift them all at once. It is great!”
